The John Daly branded pizza program was developed in partnership with Perky’s Pizza and John Daly, the well-known professional golfer. Many know John by his nickname “Long John” for his long distance golf drives. Traveling across the country in an RV to compete in golf tournaments, John realized a demand for QUALITY pizza in convenience stores, travel centers, hotels, resorts and golf courses. He was unable to find a slice of pizza that met the quality he was looking for, on all of his travels. After sampling many pizzas – he tasted the Perky’s Pizza products, appreciated the quality ingredients and operational efficiencies, and embarked on a partnership with Perky’s Pizza to develop a John Daly Pizza branded program.
John’s favorite pizza is topped with pepperoni and sausage, or as he calls it: The Double Major. The Double Major is representative of his wins in the 1991 PGA Championship and 1995 British Open. The John Daly Pizza tagline sticks to the golf theme: “The Slice You Like.” A play on the dreaded golf slice – when the ball curves the wrong direction while in flight.
A turn-key revenue stream for existing businesses, John Daly Pizza offers a compact Equipment Program for simple integration. The small setup includes a pizza baking oven, refrigeration unit, necessary smallwares, training materials, and valuable marketing items. Locations may also purchase on-site training, additional refrigeration and freezer units, storage, and shelving as needed. All John Daly Pizza Locations are set up with partner distributors to receive the quality products used in the program.
